Father is Maurice Seymour who was a noted Theatrical, Ballet and Portrait photographer from 1925-1974.
Basically grew up in the studio, observing, learning and helping out thru formative years. During and after
college worked part and full time for the studio, working as assistant, negative retoucher, printer and finally
as photographer.

Developed interest in "Advertising" photography and got job as photographer for Jack Baxter's "Creative House".
We conceived and executed campaigns for advertising agencies. Our clients included Leo Burnett, Foote Cone &
Belding, E.H. Weiss & Co. and retail accounts such as Carson Pirie Scott & Co.

Worked as "People & Fashion" photographer for the John Edelman studios in Chicago. Large art and photography
studio with 5 photographers, each with his own speciality.

Started free-lancing, working out of various studios. Major clients being W. B. Doner and
Albert J. Rosenthal Advertising Agencies.

Opened own studio in Chicago as Ronald Seymour, Inc.
Specialized in Advertising Illustration, Annual Reports, Corporate Brochures and Photojournalism.

Extensive travel from above work includes all areas of the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, England, Germany, Italy,
Amsterdam, India, Taiwan, Japan, New Guinea, Hong Kong and Canada. Personal travel includes U.S. (especially the West),
Bahamas, Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and islands in the Caribbean.

Member of ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers) since 1973.
Served as Board Member from 1988-1993.
